Heavy weights wont define you!

If your going to the gym on the daily, eating right and still see no results. Most likely, your not working out correctly. When your trying to gain muscle with definition, people often think lifting heavy weights will get the results you want quickly. Well that’s incorrect, and here’s why.

Expecting results

If you want results, you got to have patients. Eating right, and resting is two of the most important things in getting results. However, Working out correctly, plays an important role as well. When it comes to Lifting, you want to always remain in control of what ever your lifting. In other words, you want to always have Tension in the muscle your targeting. When you work out properly, you will see results way quicker. Lifting heavy weights that has you wobbling or leaning will just cause your body to be confused. Have control of what your lifting, Stay in your range. Don’t mind what the people around you can lift. Getting tension is what you want. To what ever muscle your working out on, that is where you want to feel your burn.

Target muscle

For example, lets say your working out on your biceps. Pick up a dumbbell that’s in your range to where you can lift correctly. As your doing your reps, take your free arm and feel your biceps that your working out on. That is what you call tension in your muscles. This will allow your body to know what muscle your targeting. Now when your lifting heavy, people understand the wrong concept. When you lift heavy, you want to remain in control at all times as well. You will not get the same burn if your trying to do reps that throw you off balance. You want to Focus on the muscle your working out on. Also, with the right procedure you will most likely save your self from pulling a muscle.

What You Should Avoid When Working Out

As humans we make mistakes, but some mistakes can cause you to get hurt and recovering can belong. Being healthy doesn’t mean you won’t ever have to go to the hospital. Also, having muscle doesn’t mean you won’t break anything. When your training your body, it is very important you know what you doing. It can take months or years for you to recover, and when your done healing all that work can mean nothing. Here is some advice I would like to share based on my personal experiences.

DON’T FORGET TO STRETCH, this is very important before working out. Before doing any type of workout, you should stretch your muscles. This can also be applied when you get up in the morning. The last thing you want to do while training, is to pull a muscle. I would rate the pain a solid 10, it hurts that bad. The other downside is it doesn’t just go away in a day. It can take weeks before you can be back to normal.

BY YOU STRETCHING you are less likely to pull a muscle. I didn’t say you won’t, because you still can from doing this—topic in the next paragraph. Stretching also allows your blood to flow throughout your body. Its a sense of relaxation and gives you focus on what your about to do. A good stretch allows me to work out a little longer and adds a little more reps to get burn.

The next thing you don’t want to do is START OFF LIFTING HEAVY. This can also cause you to pull a muscle. But what’s even worse, your body can just give out. Like I mention before you should get that blood flowing, heart pumping and mind converged. Also, you can expect to see slower gains. When you start off small your still going to get to that heavyweight. When you do that burn is 10 x more than the other routine. If you start off with your max, you’re stuck there. You’re not going to expect a jump in one day. Its a process you take in order to get there. Most importantly, you just don’t want to drop the weight on your self due to you not warming up, I seen it happen.

My last advice, for now, DON’T REPEAT YOUR WORKOUT THE FOLLOWING DAY. You can stretch, and start off light, but doing this will also slow your gains. I would only do this if I’m trying to lose weight cause you want to burn all calories. But if you’re trying to look like a superhero. Dividing your workouts at different intervals gives you healing time and muscle targeting. Repeating your workouts the following day allows your muscles to adapt to the way you work out. You want to always go to your muscles from a different angle. There are many workouts to execute for every muscle.
