When choosing a protein shake it can be tough with many options to choose from. Ranging from 24 grams of whey protein up to around 60 grams, and with 20 different flavors. You can find yourself in the store for quite a while debating on which one you should buy. Truth is you would end up choosing a random one, or you may pick one that sticks out with its unique design. For a while I have tried many protein shakes out there. Here I will tell you why Gold Standard is my favorite out of all of them. First, I want to tell you about the different types of Gold Standard whey protein. Then on why this is the best protein shake I ever had.

WHEY PROTEIN ISOLATE VS WHEY PROTEIN CONCENTRATE

There are two common forms of whey protein. Whey protein isolate and Whey protein concentrate, the difference is whey protein isolate is purer. Isolate contains about 10% more protein than concentrate. Gold Standard comes 100% whey and they also have whey isolate. The difference in proteins plays a major role in gaining muscle. When I first tried I notice a big difference from the protein shakes I’ve tried before. Amuse from not have to use a blender or something to stir it to break it down. Now with that being said it is much easier for your body to absorb and digest. Isolate is fat-free and also low in carbs. This is one of the main reasons why I have Gold standard as my favorite.

  • Chocolate Hazelnut, Malt, Peanut Butter
  • Cookies and Cream
  • Extreme Milk Chocolate

Gold Standard 100% has as many as around 20 flavors. I have not tried all of the flavors, but I plan to in the future. The flavor I always get is Double Rich chocolate, it has a good taste. It sort of tastes like hot cocoa to me, and I love hot cocoa. When mixing a scoop in some milk, it adds more protein to it. Now you have chocolate milk, or you may add peanut butter to get the peanut butter taste. It depends on what type of taste you want. I would give the taste 5 stars.

LEAN BODY MASS

If you’re looking to bulk, this protein might not be for you. Standard has Only 24 grams of proteins you will see lean body mass, the results I wanted. Add milk instead of water, with a scoop of peanut butter you add more protein. Putting on lean body mass, absolutely I got what I was looking for from Gold Standard.
